The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering providers including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed with regard to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] read more is to reach-out to the higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional sassa office committed to service the area daily. The company point created for intervention experiences a large sassa influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more sources to allow the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
